MONTH ONE + WHAT WE'RE LOVING

Can't believe Finley is already one month old. The first 4 weeks have flown by and it's definitely amazing to see how much she changes each DAY! Joel and I are loving the parent title. Since posting "Brands I Love", I have gotten requests to show what items we've been using the most in the first weeks + my opinions on them since bringing Finley home. I’m working on doing a postpartum care essentials blog as well; for all those mommas out there!

I'll link what I can for helpful navigation and if I put an * next to the item, know it came from amazon!

Here we go:

FURNITURE:

- Uppa Baby Car Seat - We LOVE this set. We got the car seat, stroller and bassinet in Emmett green. We chose a color so we could distinguish our stroller in a sea of strollers at the park.

- Uppa Baby Vista Stroller + Bassinet - We use the bassinet right now for walks because its flat and better for her being a newborn. The stroller seat will be for spring when she's a little stronger with her neck and head! the bassinet can also act as a dok a tot or snuggle me for around the house. It's nice to put in her in that when we're enjoying dinner, tidying up or when she's napping during the day.

- Chicco Lullago Portable Bassinet* - She sleeps right by our bedside in this bassinet. Perfect size and it's a travel bassinet so it folds up and comes with a travel bag.

CHANGING TABLE ITEMS:

- Million Dollar Baby Removable Changing Pad Organizer - This came with her bedroom set. Not necessary but its convenient for holding her diapers, wipes, oils and night light.

- Summer Infant Contoured Changing Pad*

- Burts Bee's Changing Pad Cover* - So many options!

- Pampers Pure Wipes + Diapers - LOVE these and Huggies diapers. We tried Honest brand diapers and they felt rough to us so we'll be using Pampers as #1.

- Young Living Essential Oil - Gentle Baby - I use this topically on her (1 drop on my divided in my hand and massaged on her belly, legs, arms, and head. It has an instant calming effect on her. You can diffuse it in the nursery as well for a tranquil environment.

- Young Living Essential Oil - Myrrh - I used Myrrh for her umbilical cord. 1 drop on her umbilical cord in the hospital to prevent infection. It helped it dry up and fall off quicker.

- Young Living Essential Oil - Valor - I USE THIS EVERY MORNING ON MY WRISTS! There are so many uses for it and I love the scent. It helps start the morning on a positive note. 1 drop divided on each wrist and behind the neck.

BATHING:

- Dr. Bronners Baby Wash* - CLEAN AF. Best baby soap on the market, IMO.

- Organic Bamboo Washcloths* - Perfect size, super soft.

- Norwex Hooded Bath Towel - A gift from my mom. I use their cleaning products as well.

- Earth Mama Calendula Baby Oil* - Perfect for massages and dry skin. After each bath, I make sure to lather her up in oil and give her a little body massage. She practically falls asleep during it; so cute!

DIAPERING/FEEDING:

HaloVa Diaper Backpack*- - Highly recommend a backpack verses a shoulder bag. More convenient for mom + way cuter. This one has insulated pockets for bottles, storage for diapers, wipes, a changing pad and pockets for your things!

- Burts Bee's burp cloths* - You can NEVER HAVE ENOUGH!!! I like these the best because their long!

- Breast pads* - These save lives...or at least mine. Lets just say their leak proof and perfect if you tend to leak!!

- Milk Savies - Again, saving lives. I use it when she feeds or I pump. I add it to the bottle when I pump.

- Nursing tanks / sports bras* / Gap Bralette- Target tanks + these amazon sports bras are great for sleeping + lounging around the house. I don't workout in my sports bras but you definitely could. I wear the gap bralette out and about; they are the easiest to nurse in "on the go"!

- Baby Breeza Milk Warmer + Bottle Sanitizer*- The milk warmer is a must! It uses steam to warm the bottle and is perfect for when Joel bottle feeds her. The sanitizer is not necessary but it's convenient. I sanitize the bottles 2x a week.

- Medela In Style Pump - I researched a ton before purchasing this one. I think it is what most nurses and PEDS docs recommend.

OTHERS:

- Hatch Baby Rest Night Light + Sound Machine* - This is great for night feedings + changes. There’s an app too which allows you to preset certain colors, sounds and times for it to run!

- Boon Trip Travel Bottle Drying Rack - We got the little one.

- Boba Baby Wrap - I started using this around 4 weeks and she seems to really enjoy being wrapped up close to me. Make sure their neck is strong enough or you can put one of the straps 1/2 over their head...seems to work!
