Summer is HERE and that means, sunshine {freckles}, fresh foods and lots of outdoor time!

You also have he ability to change your daily skin, hair and make up routine to using less products. WHOO HOOO :)

Consider this; our skin is the largest organ in our body. It absorbs everything from the air we breath, the air we surround ourselves in and the products we use on our body! When talking about clean and non toxic {CNT} products, it's not just food that we should be concerned about but the products we use to wash our hair, moisturize and clean our skin, and apply to our already beautiful faces! With all the beauty brands out there, it can be difficult to start transitioning to CNT products. I've learned that a lot of N A T U R A L beauty products still contain endocrine-disrupting properties that can sway your hormones, hinder brain function and even cast a spell on your reproductive system. Certain natural products can have immediate effects too, like break outs and they can even cause rashes.

I've complied a list of my favorite products below. I believe natural is best + a little help from CNT products. My body care routine in very minimal and I'm still trying to find the best products for me. These brands have proven to be the best so far. I do want to say that not all these will work for you so I suggest starting small with samples. CNT products are expensive but so is the nutritious food you should be putting into your body!

BEAUTY SMOOTHIE:

1 handful spinach

1 handful kale

1 scoop vital protein

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1/2 avocado

1/2 C blueberries

1 T spirulina & chlorella

1 tsp vitamin C powder

Combine ingredients into your vitamix and top with toasted unsweetened coconut flakes!

FACE:

Cocokind sea moss exfoliator: I use this exfoliant 1-2 x a week. The sea moss exfoliates and nourishes skin, bringing out a natural radiance.

BODY:

DIY body wash: I make my own body wash using Dr. Bonner Castile Soap, raw un-strained honey and almond oil. Mix 1/3 c castile soap, 1/3 c honey, 1/3 c almond oil + 30 drops of essential oil (I omit this because it already has a honey scent to it). This body wash is super sudsy and moisturizes my skin at the same time.

Coocnut oil: BEST MOISTURIZER EVER. I use it everywhere

waxing: I've been sugar waxing for about 2 years now and love it. Find a place near you that offers it. You wont be disappointed! All natural, clean and non toxic AF.

HAIR:

Beauty with a twist shampoo: When I do wash my hair, I use this brand. I found them on amazon and although they do contain some toxic ingredients, I really like the brand.

ACV: when I need to "wash" my hair because it's getting a little greasy, I use ACV. Apply a small amount to wet hair and let it sit for a couple minutes. Wash it out like you would shampoo and viola!

Coconut oil: I use this on my ends to help repair damaged hair and promote shiny, smooth, static free locks.

Aveda Dry shampoo: I rarely use dry shampoo but when I am in need of a little texture I sprinkle this on my roots. Added bonus, it smells wonderful!

MAKE UP:

Eco brow: This brow balm is my favorite and a necessity in my make up routine. The balm creates full, natural-looking brows with out looking like I stole the box of crayons. It also tames them, they can get crazy after a good nights sleep!

TEETH:

Modere Toothpaste: This stuff is EWG.org certified as clean and non toxic. Sugar free fluoride free nontoxic + natural peppermint oil to freshen breath! I just switched over to CNT products for my mouth and am loving the they make my mouth feel SUPA clean.

Modere Mouth Rinse: I ditched the crest mouth wash for this stuff and man is it good. This natual peppermint mouth rinse is alcohol-free, oxidizes and dissolves food film for effective cleaning and supports healthy teeth and guns.

HOUSE HOLD:

Right now, I am in transition from toxic cleaning brands to CNT brands.

I make my own counter, mirror and wood cleaner, use a diffuser for a clean scent throughout my home and also make my own laundry detergent. I am excited to try out CNT cleaning brands!

What are your CNT beauty and household products that you use?!

Enjoy,

xx,
