MACA + ENERGY BITES

lets talk about this super fine, superfood miracle powder known as maca. maca powder has a "malty oat" flavor. take that into consideration when adding it to your recipes. this miracle powder was introduced to me about 6 months ago and i love adding it to my morning smoothies and baked goods!

maca has gained a reputation for helping balance hormones and reverse hypothyroidism. it is an endocrine adaptogen, meaning that it does not contain any hormones, but rather it contains the nutrients necessary to support normal hormone production.

maca benefits:
boosts fertility
improves skin and hair
rich in vitamin B, C and E
helps with chronic fatigue
increases energy and mood in a natural way
balances hormones for hyper and hypo thryroidism
rich in zinc, calcium iron, magnesium and amino acids
maca uses: personal
1/2 tbls in smoothie
1 tsp in my coffee + a shake of cinnamon
baking brownies, energy bites, cookies, ect.!
enjoy these espresso maca date energy bites that i made!
ingredients:
15 medjool dates pitted and soaked in water for about 10 minutes
1/2 cup raw cashews
1/4 cup unsweetened dark chocolate cacao powder
1 tablespoons ground espresso (more if preferred a stronger coffee taste)
1 tablespoon maca powder
1 scopp vital protein powder
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
pinch of salt
instructions:
combine all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until a dough-like mixture forms.
form into twelve 1-inch bites by hand.
