CLEAN TURKEY BURGERS

reminiscing about these turkey burgers i made last month for dinner. they were MOUTH watering. i didn't measure any spices, i just dove into the spice cabinet and went wild. i kicked it up a notch and added flax seeds and vital protein collagen. both these two ingredients aid in digestion, promote a healthy gut and are healthy alternatives for breadcrumbs!

ingredients:
1.5 lb of ground turkey
1 green bell pepper - diced
1 farm fresh egg
2 scoops vital proteins collagen peptides
flax seed
avocado
ginger (shaved)
coconut oil
spices:
garlic powder
turmeric
onion powder (can you diced onions)
red pepper flakes
cayenne pepper
instructions:
mix ground turkey, bell pepper, egg, collagen and spices in a large bowl
slowly add flax seed until your get a petty-like consistency
scoop a handful of the mixture into your hand to form patties - mine made 6 patties
tip** push the center of the patty down a little more, this helps even the cooking throughout the burger
heat a cast iron skillet with coconut oil to medium heat
place each patty on the skillet for 3 minutes a side
slice your ginger an avocado while the burgers cook
enjoy on a bead of greens or your favorite whole wheat bun!
