before my house becomes filled with food, football & friends, i am going to start my morning with some FITNESS!
with the wedding 34 days away, i have been getting down and dirty with fitness workouts and fueling my body with lots of greens & protein.
CAULIFLOWER BERYY SMOOTH (leefromamerica)
INGREDIENTS
2 Tbsp almond butter
1 1/2 cups frozen organic cauliflower (I buy organic, pre washed raw cauliflower florets from @wholefoods)
2 scoop vanilla @mrm protein powder
3/4 cup frozen organic blueberries
1/2 cup my homemade almond milk
3/4 cup water
1/4 frozen avocado
1/2 tsp organic cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend for 3 minutes on high in your belnder.
Pour into a glass and top with 1 tbsp coconut flakes, 1 tsp pistachios, and 1 tsp cashew butter.

turkey chili - paleo

ingredients
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 lb ground turkey
1 large onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 (14.5-oz) cans organic diced tomatoes
1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon pepper
instructions
heat coconut oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. add ground turkey, onion and garlic; cook 8 to 10 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble.
transfer meat and onion mixture to a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker. add tomatoes, bell pepper, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours.
Garnish with Jillz Crackers
bacon jalapeno deviled eggs (dairy free/paleo)

ingredients
24 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
1 1/2 cup dairy free mayonnaise
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon grey poupon
3 jalapenos, seeded and diced
12 pieces nitrate free bacon, cooked, crisp, and crumbled
Paprika, for garnish
instructions
bake eggs at 350 for 30 minutes
transfer to ice cold water for 10 minutes
you'll have the most perfect hard boiled eggs ever!!!
slice the hard boiled eggs in half, lengthwise
remove the yolks and put them in a mixing bowl
mash the egg yolks with a fork
add ACV and grey poupon to the mashed egg yolks and stir until well combined
mix in the jalapenos and bacon
put the mixture in a ziploc bag and cut a small hole in the corner of the bag
fill each egg hole with the mixture
sprinkle with paprika
chill until ready to serve
prosciutto-wrapped asparagus - (not paleo)

ingredients
asparagus
cream cheese
prosciutto (found with specialty meats in your grocery store)
instructions
first, blanch your asparagus in boiling water to bring out its color.
cut off the dry ends of each spear, then boil for 1-2 minutes.
transfer the asparagus into a bowl of cold water, or run cool water over them in a colander to “shock” them – so that they cool and stop cooking.
spread each slice of prosciutto with a little cream cheese.
wrap up 3-4 asparagus spears in the prosciutto, with the ends exposed.
arrange spears on a lightly greased baking pan.
bake at 350 for about 10 minutes – or until the asparagus is tender.
cucumber canapes w| feta and tomato- (not paleo)

ingredients
for the whipped feta
6 ounces good feta, crumbled
2 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup olive oil
2 large cucumbers, sliced
sun-dried tomatoes, drained and chopped
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
instructions
first, make the whipped feta. place the feta and cream cheese in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade. pulse until the cheeses are mixed. add the lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper and turn on the food processor. with the food processor running, slowly add the olive oil in a steady stream through the tube. turn off the food processor.
Place a dollop of whipped feta in the center of each cucumber slice. Top with sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil. Serve.
