BEHIND THE SCENES (IN THE KITCHEN)

last week, joel and i, along with another couple had the pleasure of feasting INSIDE the kitchen at a club we belong to. we had won the 9 course dinner at an auction benefiting young aspiring chefs. its amazing how well these kids (middle school - college) know their way around the kitchen!
the food, drink & company was OUTSTANDING! here are some dishes that were devoured during the night.
coffee cake with flank steak & kale
seattle & new york oysters
salmon wrapped in crisp cucumber slices & roasted wild rice
roasted carrot with rose petals & a rabbit-sausage link
